Hi! I'm Aayu. I'm a Mechanical Engineering student studying at the University of Houston (Class of 2029).
I’m driven by competitive engineering and pursue my projects with a lot of ambition to deliver designs that make the most out of the constraints I’m working with. I emphasize efficient workflows that use parametric models to cut out repetitive work and create faster design cycles.
As part of UH's Formula SAE team, I've contributed to the development of the suspension system. My involvement spans designing the kinematic model, component design and FEA validation, and CNC machining, giving me ownership of one of the most critical systems on the racecar as a first-year student. Separately, I modeled a full FSAE car from scratch in two weeks to develop my top-down parametric CAD approach.
I spent three years with FRC team 2583, growing from makerspace committee lead to Robot Director. Improving my skills as an engineer and a leader, managing budget and build timelines, coordinating sub teams to deliver competitive machines that win awards.
